I love this beautiful cockatoo portrait! So much character! I love birds too. Had a cockatiel and 2 parakeets growing up but can't have birds anymore- allergies. But they're one of my favorite subjects to draw. L/F

Beautiful, and he has such personality. You must love birds to have such a feeling for the feathers!

Thank you very much Daniel! I truly love birds indeed. I have a green cheek conure, and I used to have a lovebird.

Artist's Description

This is my first drawing of a cockatoo. I did the feathers, the eye, and the beak, with graphite pencil and ink, and I did the background with charcoal pencil. I love cockatoos. They are very intelligent and they can be a friend for life. I don't have a cockatoo myself but I used to have a lovebird called Pilaf, and now I have a cinnamon/pineapple green cheek conure called Echo. I love parrots.

About Casey 'Remrov' Vormer

Casey 'Remrov' Vormer

When I'm out in public I often get very overwhelmed by all the sensory input I receive all at once, and this can be very chaotic. When I'm working on a drawing I only have to focus on one thing, the details of my drawing. This is one of the reasons why I love drawing so much. I am a huge animal lover and I find it very important to help animals with my drawings. I often donate part of the proceeds of my...
